An Unexpected Blessing

A Testimony from the Bicycles for Bible Workers Project

Titus* was a member of his people’s royal family. When he became a Christian, he sacrificed the plans his parents had for him in order to serve God. Now he is a JFA Bible Worker in the Philippines, sharing the Gospel with his people. (You can read Titus’s testimony here.) By God’s grace, through donations made to our Bicycles for Bible Workers fund, he was able to receive an unexpected blessing for his ministry. Here he shares his experience and thanks:

I was recently interviewed by Jesus for Asia’s coordinators. I actually don’t have any idea why the Lord sent them to my place. To have witnessed our road conditions, both rocky and muddy and really difficult–more than you can ever imagine, especially on rainy days–their hearts were touched. Unbeknownst to me, their coming was really a great blessing.

One of them asked me to choose what type of vehicle I would like to have if given a chance.

I told them that I am not the type of person who dreams of something I know I cannot reach. They said I should not worry because the Lord is rich.

So I told them that if it is His will, it would be really nice to have something that would be useful in ministry and our road conditions. They told me just to pray because nothing is impossible for Him.

After almost three months, two motorbikes were purchased (one for me and one for my fellow Bible Worker) and I thank the Lord because this is really a surprise for me.

The Bicycles for Bible Workers fund provides bicycles and motorbikes for Bible Workers like Titus who have to travel long distances, over sometimes rugged terrain, to share the Gospel and visit church members and other contacts in multiple villages.
