Hope in a Time of Crisis

Neeraj* had lost all hope. He had recently run for a position in a local election and spent a large sum of borrowed money on his campaign. When he lost the election, he found himself unable to pay back his debts. Each day he became more distressed. How would he ever recover from this loss?

He began to suffer from suicidal thoughts, and at one point, he tried to end his own life and failed.

One day, our Bible Worker, Brother Sajan*, saw Neeraj standing under a tree, his face filled with anguish. Brother Sajan asked Neeraj what was wrong, and the sorrowful man shared his plight.

Brother Sajan encouraged Neeraj that he could work and pay off his debts. He prayed for Neeraj and told him the story of Job, who lost everything, but in the end, received many blessings through his patience and trust in God.

Brother Sajan started visiting Neeraj daily and sharing Bible stories with him. Neeraj is no longer in distress and is working hard to repay his debts.

Please pray for Neeraj's trust in God to grow. Please pray that he will accept Jesus as his personal Savior.
